Harlem Hands, 436 was a series of pop-up community weaving activations in Harlem's Marcus Garvey Park, August and September 2025. Participants learned a simple hand-weaving technique and created work that will become textile sculptures for my ongoing project, 436.
This project was made possible by an LMCC 2025 Creative Engagement and UMEZ Arts Engagement grant.
